Without the extra button on the door, I believe your two options are, get out the keyfob and hit the unlock button or take the key out of the keyfob and open the door manually.

We don't have the button on our 2016 Mazda2 and it is annoying that you have to take the keyfob out of your pocket to open the door but that is one of the tradeoffs for not paying the higher price of a higher trim model.
