While I have personally never read anywhere that MAZDA restricts or would void any warranty by using and connecting a dash cam, Radar Detector or Jammer, cell phone chargers, etc., I might simply be prudent that should you need to take your MAZDA for any warranty work to remove it especially if the warranty or problem is related in anyway to the electrical systems.

I have had to warranty one battery from MAZDA and had an alarm and its CPU connected to the battery along with two 4 gauge wires and fuse blocks for my amplifiers and no one said anything except wanting to hear my system. lol I also have several switches for gauges as well my *2 dash cams (*1 rear cam ) and a couple other goodies to my 2018 Mazda3.

Depending on how its wired in, as long as it doesn't drain the battery causing other issues, or wired in such a way if affects other systems, you shouldn't have any issues.

Anyone notice the start date and last responses on this forum before it was dug up from the dinosaur tar pits?? lol
It really depends on how the dash cam was connected to the OEM power outlets. I suppose might as well also include what kind of repour you have with any given dealership. As for what MAZDA corp say if you contact them which I had to because we installed a 4 camara system and wanted to make sure we did not violate the Mazda Warranty Mazda said as long as we used existing power outlets or a standalone power supply connector the Warranty would not be effected.
Look into this information so you get the fact and not the assumptions about WARRATY coverage.
You are also protected under the Moss warranty act.

BTW a few friends on forums have posted dash cams short being activated while at dealerships for various service. it is sorta funny to watch them.
