Water pump pulley
Hello folks,
I have a 2016 CX-5 and the serpentine belt snapped the other day. A mobile mechanic is telling me my water pump is shot, too. He figures this by not being able to spin the water pump pulley by hand? It's belt is still on. I've had nothing tell me there is anything wrong with the water pump (leaks, high temp, unusual sounds) and he says it should spin like the alternator; but the serpentine belt is not on the alternator.
If the water pump pulley belt is on should I be able to spin it?
