waiting for del on mazda cx5 GTR
looking to buy 2020 cx5 GTR I left deposit in june on a silver GTR I was told it was being held up :"down at the docks/pier" on a youtube video there was a mention about vehicles being held up there because of covid? has anyone heard of this happening? dealer told me its out of his control.. I live in ny and im not sure if this is BS or not.
No idea if that story is valid or not. We just picked up a new GTR at the end of June and they were pretty scarce. Finding the color we wanted was hard enough, and getting a good deal on it was harder still (though in the end, we did, but the dealer had it shipped in from a dealership about 200 miles away in another state).
I didn't see a single dealer with more than two GTR's on the lot in any color, including searching inventory in adjoining states. I took that to mean the meat of the market for Mazda is in Touring and GT models since there were plenty of those around. Our hometown dealership had about 20 of the lower trims, but only one GTR in stock (wrong color/stingy deal). But, I guess it could be there's some sort of delay in the pipeline.
I know that's not really the kind of answer you were looking for. But, if they don't put you off for too much longer it will be worth the wait. We love, love, love our GTR!
