Stupid tow truck driver
I'll soon be 65, last owned Mazda was 1991 GT turbo until my son met with a tree. I was in need of a car. Why I chose the speed6 is obvious. Now the question, if anyone can give me a direction.
This morning I heard an alarm coming from where I park my car. Living in an apartment alarms are frequent, but the would not stop. I was sure my vehicle was being tampered. Quickly dressing and grabbing protection, I got out side and the car was gone. I was about to call 911 when I noticed a tower creeping up the lot.
I am handicapped and use a plaque. Due to how the sun shines upon the car I placed the blockers on the front and rear windows. The plaque had slid down but was clearly visible from any side window. This dufus saw an opportunity to collect a $500.00 fee. He was bringing it back in hopes that no one would notice. He even said he was in my v....
I was somewhat upset, and upsetting an old man is not a smart move since we have little to lose. It's a 2006 Speed6fyi.
With a full time drive train, I wonder how much damage was done if the car was dragged. I have observed these less than intelligent people hook onto front wheel drive cars and yank them out from the rear with billowing smoke from brakes and who knows what else. It happened here in past months by some young rodeo rider with quick feet, hands and no brains.
If anyone has any thoughts on possible damage, please contact me. I began driving in 1956 when cars were user friendly. Telling this from a normal Mazda6 is not easy as all inicators are blacked out. What mods done have made a difference and I need no clown to destroy the work and expense. Even the police agreed that the plaque was clear enough.
So young men and ladies, help out an old codger, if able, and thank you! I
could add so much more but it would be repetitive except for the lies he
told.

Hi John. Welcome and sorry for your trouble.
You don't say how far the driver got, but if it was all low speed around the parking lot, chances are no harm no foul.
Realizing that John Anderson is a fairly common name, I'm just curious... I used to work w/a JA @ a commercial radio station back in the mid '70's in eastern Pa. He would be about your age now. Any relation?
