Default stalling with new car

I am hoping someone can help me. Being a woman I hate running up to the dealer without a proper way of explaining what has been going on. I bought my new Mazda6 2006 5 door with 5 speed manual transmission back in Feb.2006. The car ran great until this summer. Everyday when I leave work after sitting in heat and sun for 8 hours I have problems with taking off. I put it into gear wether it be reverse or first and it will take me about 5 feet and will act like it is not getting enough gas. It starts jerking and carry on like someone who is driving a clutch for the first time. If I continue down the road it will stall so I have to push in the clutch and race the motor as if it did not have fuel injection. Once I get it going again it does not do it any more. The car does not act like this in the morning when I leave for work only in the afternoon when the temps. are warmer. Does anyone know what this can be caused by? Also two times since I had it and would back into a parking space I would hold the clutch fully in until I turn the engine off and the car would make a loud noise and jerking motion as if I let the clutch out too fast and killed the engine instead of turning it off. Can anyone help with that??? I hate to run all the way down to Nashville where I purchased the car just for the tech. to take it for a test run and say there is nothing wrong with it b/c it only does this after sitting for a long period of time.

Sounds like a real problem to me...

You may have to leave it with them for a day so that it can sit just as you mentioned.

How does the engine run when you start it after it has sat out all day in hot sun but before you go to take off? Start right up and idle smooth and rev up ok? Or does it crank over for a long time or idle rough, etc? What I mean is the jerking only related to trying to engage the clutch or is car already running crappy.

Have you ever heard anyone complain of this type of problem? If you had to guess what does it sound like to you?

The first thing that crossed my mind when you were describing what the car was doing was that the clutch might be chattering severly. Have seen this on 8 or 9 Mazda 6 cars with either 4 cyl or V6. 4 cyl seems to be more often if I remember right. Been a while since have seen one. A few that I have looked at were very slight but a couple have been so severe with the clutch chatter when taking off it could have easily been mistaken for a missfire. Gets jerking so bad that your foot starts bouncing on the pedal and makes it feel even worse. Not sure if that is what you are feeling or not. Here is a link to the TSB concerning this problem.

Do not let the 2003-2005 only throw you. It says that because the bulletin was released in 05 and has not been updated since. The clutch disc part numbers have remained unchanged thru all of the years but all now superceed to the updated part. You will probably have to leave with the dealer all day so the problem can be duplicated and diagnosed. Mazda will provide a rental car free of charge to you for as long as it takes to get problem to occur and fix so it is not like you have to be without transportation.
