Well here is my problem. I own 3 cars

I am looking to sell my Volvo and get a new car.... but I dont know what to get!!!

My options.

I dont want to spend a TON of money right now... so maybe a mazdaspeed is out. but i love how they look.

Give me some links to aftermakert websites where I can look at the modified possibilites of these Mazda 3s's. Thanks!! here is a picture of my Volvo now.

 

You'd be better off (cheaper and more reliable) getting the Mazdaspeed3 rather than trying to fix up a 3s.

 

The Speed is all you need. Mazda is pricing the MS3 starting at 22 thou so for an extra 3 grand u get the mods already done. Might as well if your gonna spend about 19 brand new for a regular 3s. Your gonna spend about the same if you want to mod a 3s

 

You'll spend more $$$ trying to mod the 3s to hit the base Mazdaspeed3 performance....The Mazdaspeed3 is not only turbo, it also has a limited slip diff so that both front tires can provide traction during acceleration instead of only getting the one wheel peel.

 

It also depends how many mods you want done for your ride. Depending on preference, you can be spending a lot of $ or little $. Now, if you want it on a level of a speed 3 then yea, i agree it would cost more. To bad the speed 3 doesn't come AWD.

 

if you get my 3 a 2.0l 2006 auto model i with power windows and locks it only cost me ~$13,000 and a Hiboost turbo costs ~$5000 and plus an extra $500 for turbo pistons and another $27 for vavlebodies and you get the same hp and touque (if you add a custom 3in exhaust ~$300). Anyway id sell the GMC not your volvo, and the only parts that will be out for the speed 3 very expensive Mazdaspeed parts. Although the 3 does not have many aftermarket parts available.

So starting price of a base model of a MS3 is appently ~$23 grand

Base model 06 3i with power windows and locks with auto tranny including listed mods is ~$17824 and you could shave off atleast another $600 if you go manual and you wont have to buy the vavlebodies
