Default Say cheese!

Hey there just wanted to say hi. I am a new member and this is my first mazda which I love BTW. It is a 2010 mazda 3 S sport sedan that is Graphite mica. Not many mods yet but adding to it when I can. So far the list includes Injen CAI, TSW mallory wheels, Matsu strut bar, james barone rear sway bar, BC racing coilovers, mazdaspeed rear camber plates and some Audio

the near future mods include new front and rear endlinks, advanced timing mod, grounding kit, and some 3m carbon fiber wrap for some interior eye candy. Here are a couple pics not the best quality but for now it is all I have

NOT MANY MODS?? For a one year old car? It seems you have a damn good start on them then!!
Welcome aboard, Jay. You must have more money, time and energy available than most of us here then.

says the person with a mod list a mile long

I wouldn't say money just misplaced priorities lol and yes my job allows for big blocks of time off so plenty of time to mod the car during down time thats for sure

anyways thanks for the welcome I look forward to contributing to the forums as much as possible

A mile long? Who's the one w/$1500 worth of coilovers... and another $1000 (+/-) in wheels and tires after a year.
Ah, to be young and free(r) of responsibilities.....
Well, keep in mind that my 3 is over 7 yrs old now, and within the first two years it looked and drove just exactly how it did the day I bought it.
Y'see, I have a wife and a house that don't allow me to "misplace" my priorities. She (the wife) couldn't care less, so I've had to be creative. And my REAL job keeps me pretty busy and tired too. It's been a slow and painful process my friend.

Anyway, lookin' good!! Keep it up!!

Slow and painful makes the pay off much sweeter, your car is pretty awesome.

I have had work trucks my whole life and couldn't justify having a 2nd car so this is actually the first car I have owned and modded so I did go a little nuts when I first got it. It is just to much fun

Thank you, Jay.
Except for trying to eliminate the inherent understeer in any FWD car, I haven't done too much that was extreme or out of the ordinary. Because V1 is my only vehicle and I don't track the car, I have been fairly conservative w/her chosing instead to save more money than spend while personalizing/improving her at the same time.
As I mentioned, my wife "doesn't get it," and never will. To her spending money on cars when they don't need it is silly. It is hard to argue affectively w/that logic, but those of us w/gasoline in our veins... well, I'm sure you know what I mean?

I was trading space w/an '05-'09 Mustang GT the other day on the road. I knew there was no way I could out-power that car, though I have beat V6 automatic Stangs, this one just sounded sweet. It must've had a Magna-Flow system under her and it had THAT sound. We were matching each other gear for gear. When I finally got up next to the car, it turned out its driver was a woman and it was clear to me she knew how to drive it. We gave each other the thumbs-up and parted ways but oh what a nice sound to come home with still ringing in my ears.
