Hello I'm a new owner of an 04 rx8. It's my first rotary engine car so I'm looking forward to learning more about them. I live in Indiana. Hoping soon to add a cold air intake, exhaust and headers. If you have any tips, it would def be appreciated! Thanks !

 

First of all, Congrats on the new-to-you ride!! And welcome to the site too.

Second, I have never had a rotary engined car but from everything I have read about them:
1) I hope you got a complete history of the car, especially of the maintenance performed and when.
2) Maintenance, maintenance, maintainence... and it must be performed on time if not sooner than on time!! Do not cheap out on this or you will shorten the engine's life. No ifs, ands or buts.

This is the secret to long-life in a rotary and an RX8.
