Default New RX7 owner help

I just recently got my hands on an imported 92 rx7. The car is in amazing shape but i have to admit i do not know awhole lot about its rotary. I just have a small question about the rear end. It currently has some oversized wheels on it, and after i go for like a 2-3 hour drive, there is a feint smell of burning in the rear wheels.

Now my first though was wheels could be rubbing, so after i take it out i pulled off both wheels, and both still stone cold.

Also checked to see if maybe brakes were grinding abit, and prety sure they were not because they had almost no heat what so ever. It smells like a feint burning rubber.

Ive gone into 2 shops including the dealer that i bought it from, and got prety much the same answers. They didnt know anything about the car, but would be willing to find the info needed but at shop rate. So i would rather not pay a guy $95 an hour to sit on Goggle ^

Is this a normal thing or could i have an issue on my hands?

Also any new owner tips to help keep my new baby in top shape , Or if anyone might know a place i could go to find the info im after it would much appreciated!!! Thanks in advance.

Are you sure its a rubber burning smell?

Take some pics of the car, take a couple of the rear of it from underneath. Lets see what is going on.

What size tires are you running on it in the rear? You may be rubbing and not know it.
