New Rx7 owner
so i just bought a 1988 rx7 and its not exactly in the best shap. if anybody has any info on where to find new convertible tops, passanger and driver seats, carpeting and the whole works. eventually after its looking good im going to start modding it. but for now im just trying to get it back into shape
I took my Vert 7 to my friends Interior and Vert Top Shop. He gave me a great deal on a Porsche Canvas Top for my 7 for $1200. when i was done i was at $1500 including install and the part that was rotted out. if you are going with a vinyl top, i've seen them for $650 to $800. Have any pix of your vert?
Here are pix of mine

as of right now i dont have any pics of it yet... its actually still sitting in my aunts garage in canton georgia until i can get it shipped to miami, but youll be one of the first to see the pictures. right now its not looking so hot so dont be disapointed when you do see the pics. but im hoping youll be impressed when im done with it compared to what it started as.
so i finally got my 2nd gen vert, but i cant get it running... it wants to but wont fully turn over.. and i guess i should mention im new the rotary idea and i already cleaned all the plugs and that gave me some improvement but still wont start...save my 7
it's most likely flooded, pop the hoood and look for the fusebox on the driver's side and remove the "ENG INJ" and "ENG COMP" fuses, crank it for 5 to 10 seconds then replace the fuses and crank again. If that doesn't work remove your spark plugs and crank, then put some ATF fluid or oil in the spark plug holes, replace spark plugs, and crank. It should come to life but there will be a ton of smoke so if you take the latter route, prepare for your car to look like it's broken but I assure you the smoke is fine and running for a few minutes should clear her up.
