I just picked up a fairly decent '02 P5. I think that you guys call it. Protege5
Yeah, it's an auto and was thinking about getting a manual but realized, I'm lazy and don't drive fast anymore.
Besides, I can drink my McDonalds coffee easier.
What brings me here? Well last year my wife wanted a new car. She is paying for it 100% so who am I to say no? She, (with my help), got a CX-3.
I drive it on the weekends and fell in love with it but won't tell her that. The only thing I don't care for is that it's a little small.
Therefore I started looking for a hatchback for myself but we don't both need AWD's. One is enough.
I don't know how I did it but somehow I narrowed it down to the P5. It came down to either a C3 or the P5. The P5 won out. Price mattered but I think the P5 looks better.
That's how I ended up here.

 

Welcome to the forum. I drove the P5 once when new and loved it. It should be a fun car to own.
