Actually I am from the East Coast (Maryland) and kind of sort of from California. I have owned 5 Rx-7s; a red 79, a gold 80' that was a 4-speed, a silver 79, a black 84', and the one I still have, a blue 86' that needs a lot of cosmetic work. I have always loved 2-seat sports cars that handle super well. It does not matter if they are the fastest, just that they handle. I was thinking about selling my last one and trading in my 2006 Nissan Pathfinder on a 2009 Nissan 370Z. But I am upside down in the SUV and it is too nice to simply give away. Now I am thinking about restoring the Rx7 instead. I drive it to work and was thinking it needs a paint job, some body work, and new seats. I would like to upgrade the suspension and performance too. It seems to me that this would be cheaper than paying $31K for the Z and losing my you know what on the trade. Anyway, I like this forum.
