I just purchased a 2016 Mazda 3, after having owned Hondas since 1987. I just sold my 1999 Honda Civic EX with 383K miles. Tried to do my homework, read specs and reviews, and test drove several cars. So far I'm very pleased with my vehicle.


Still learning all the bells and whistles - technology sure has changed.


No temperature gauge? Am I missing something?


Looking forward to following posts on this forum and learning more about Mazda.

 

They have a blue temp light when cold, and a red temp light when overheating.

Both lights show up on start-up.

All of my cars, since 1974, have been stick shifts. I decided to go with an automatic transmission with my new Mazda 3 i-Touring. I've played with using the "M" option, and it seems like you have to "downshift" quite a bit to get the kind of control you'd get with a real manual transmission.

How do most of you find this option to be most useful?

I miss the driving experience of a stick shift, but like the convenience of the automatic.

Should've stuck with Honda. I traded in my 2003 Pilot for a CX-5 and regret it everyday. Looks good but not made well and dealing with Mazda is akin to dealing with politicians - they'll say anything to get you to buy but then ignore you until you're looking to buy again.
