hi, all. new to the forum. my name is antionetta & i just acquired a 1997 mazda 626. 146,000 miles. v6. nice little fixer-upper, but wow i'm getting sticker shock from the prices on a lot of these parts!

Hi Antionetta and welcome to the forum and the greater Mazda family.

Parts, especially modding parts are expensive these days. Don't expect to get off too cheaply unless you have fabrication tools and skills. However, depending what you need for the car, there are other places to shop besides the dealer or your local parts store. Gotta' do your research and shop wisely, especially these days.

Do you have any parts in particular you are looking for now? Ask us. Perhaps someone here knows a good place to buy them... maybe even ME!

thanks for the welcome virgin1. believe me, i am all over the internet doing my homework. i've pretty much gotten all the parts i need so far, having an engine put in. may need catalytic converter & 02 sensors (if mine don't get ready after completing a few drive cycles). got my fingers crossed!
