New Mazda3 - Navigation questions
Hi All,
I just purchased a new 2019 Mazda3 and love it. I hope the forum members can help me with my 2 questions with the Navigation system:
When I cross state lines (which happens frequently) the vehicle gives me bogus information about the speed limits in the state I am entering. I say bogus because it lists some crazy speeds. Country roads it lists as 55 miles per hour and freeways it lists at 70 miles per hour. Driving 55 miles per hour on most country roads I have found will put you in a ditch, unless Mazda is saying that the handling of a Mazda is so good that you can ignore the posted speed limits. It is extremely frustrating for the audio system to be over ridden every time I cross a state line for this worthless information.
I can't seem to figure out how to scroll down the list of options while driving. It works when parked. For example, if you are 10 miles from the next exit and there are towns around you and you search for a fuel station, the three options on the screen are right next to you which will take at least 20 miles of driving to get to. The problem is slightly worse in the SiriusXM Traffic Link screen. In this screen, I can only select from the top 2 options.
Beyond these two issues, the system seems to be great. I have tried the Apple CarPlay, however, I have an employer issued phone and I should not be using it for personal data usage.
Thank you in advance for any help you can provide. I have been watching the forum for a while and have appreciated all of the great information available.

- How do I turn this off?

- How do I fix the system to scroll down to more menu options?

Welcome to the forum neighbor, I am just up the road in Pennsylvania.
I just purchased a 2019 Mazda3 to replace my 2015 Mazda3. I am also struggling with the questions you raised plus a few extra like why are the audio favorites co-mingled with GPS favorites. It almost seems like they never tested the system on the road before they released it.
Hopefully someone has an answer.
