Default New to Forum from OKC

Hi everyone,

I am new to the forum and am from OKC. I actually just started working up at bob moore mazda in Edmond. I used to have a 93 RX-7 until it was wrecked. Since then I've had a honda prelude and now I currently drive an audi a4.

I have always been a mazda fan and after recently driving the 3speed I am considering trading in the audi....

anyways, I would love to hear what you guys like/dislike about your cars. I look forward to getting to know you guys and selling some mazda's.

Also, if you're looking for a new one, or are just in the area, stop on in and introduce yourself! I'd love to meet any fellow auto enthusiats!

Aakash

So I spent all of yesterday test driving all the different models....I made my post before I drove the mazda speed 6...we have one on the lot that was traded in by an elderly gentleman who wanted an suv for his wife.

This thing is amazing! Hands down my favorite car on the lot.... It's a 2007 w/only 23K!

P.S. I used to be a project manager and got laid off, so a friend got me this position while I look for the right job...so this is my second day as a car salesman...I'm not posting on here to try and just sell cars..I'm a fellow auto enthusiast...I have a stage 2 A4 that will be going BT pretty soon....

I just thought I'd share! I like not having a car payment, but if I was going to get anything I'd jump on this speed 6 in a heartbeat!

Welcome aboard, Aakash!!

Since I do not own a Speed3 but from what I have read from other owners and articles:
A blast to drive, plenty of power, excellent handling and very good stopping power too. Well supported by the aftermarket community.

Mildly modded MS3's can be troublesome, especially when uping the boost on a stock bottom end. As even with my own N/A 3 HB, motor mounts can be a problem/weak spot. Plenty of aftermarket choices for these though.
Some claim the ride to be a little less than civil.
Speaking for me alone, I don't find these newer Mazdas to be the easiest cars to work on. The ECU's are as yet untappable to any great extent, so any serious upgrades in performance would have to be accomplished through a stand-alone mangement module. They can cost quite a few $$$.

How's that for a start?

Thanks for the response virgin...

I am no stranger to issues stemming from upgrades especially in the boost department. As for the ECU's, I'm actually a bit suprised that there isn't a lot of software mappings for these cars. I wonder if that comes from lack of demand or just a general inability to break the ecu open to remap.

I will certainly say that after doing quite a bit of research on mazdas and how they stack up to their competitors in ea respective class, I'm genuinely starting to think that mazda is on of the biggest kept secrets in the auto industry.

again, thanks for the response.
