Hi. I just bought a 2014 CX-5 FWD Touring with the Bose/Moonroof package, Stormy Blue with the tan interior. The closest competition on the purchase decision was the Jetta Sportswagen diesel, but despite the greater fuel efficiency, we ultimately decided the CX-5 was much more stylish and fun to drive.

I found these forums while searching the internet for other people having the problem with the USB interface on the CX-5 that I was having (unfortunately, it's a problem everyone is having with the 2014s), but I hope that this will be a long-term resource for me as a new owner.

 

Welcome! I too own a '14 CX-5 Touring and the USB issue brought me to this site as well. Despite that I still feel like I made the right decision in going with the CX-5.

 

I bought a 2014 Grand Touring new in February of 2013. Put just 47,000 miles on it. The only problem I had was the mass air flow sensor went bad at about 40,000 miles.
All other issues were normal wear and use. It got damaged in the big storm on August 10th this year. The damage was all cosmetic, but estimated to cost
13,000 to fix. The insurance company decided to total it. They gave me a great value on it so I let them have it. Replaced it with a 2020 CX-5 Signature. Very
happy with my decision.
