Mazda 5 Smoking badly
Hello All
I'm new to the thread, but was wondering if I could get any help before I take any step.
I have a 56 reg Mazda 5 (Diesel) and it's a manual. Earlier this year I realised that I started smelling something like fuel in the car and it was consuming more than normal diesel. Also, when I'm driving, especially when on the first gear, when I move, it's like the car is held down, then all of a sudden, its as if something in the engine has released the car, you can then feel it move at it's normal movement.
I took it to the garage, and I was told it was the injectors, I bought 4 off ebay which has now been replaced, but, now the issue is worse.
Once the car is started, immediately, there are large puffs of white smoke coming from the tail pipe, and when you try to drive it, you press the accelerator, but it doesn't even seem to respond.
You can press it all the way down, and there would be no increase in the engine rev
When it now eventually picks ups, and you try to move it, it struggles to move
The garage is now saying I should buy a new engine, but I was advised that I need to know exactly what the issue is, that it might not require a new engine
Can someone please help, as I'm really stuck.
Many thanks
