hi everyone i have a few faults with my car. i hope some one can help.
its a mazda 3 sports diesel 2ltr 2008
the dash have two lights on. the orange mil light and the traction control light which the symbol is tyres with skid marks. i used forscan and the code that came up is

ABS
U2023-A0 fault recieved from external node
status: previous set DTC- not presesnt at time of request
malfunction indicator lamp is on for this DTC
Module: anti-lock brack/ traction control module

IC U0121-FF code U0121- Missing the CAN message from the ABS
Module:instrument cluster

IC U2064-FF warning light is on

U2023-FF vehicle communication network fault
module:instrument cluster
diagnostic trouble code details
this DTC refers to the warning light illumination request signal from other modules, not malfunction of the insrument cluster itself

U codes, which are communication codes, can sometimes set when your battery dies or is low in voltage. Try clearing the codes and see if any return right away. The ones that return or wont clear are considered "Hard Faults" and will be the first ones to address.

 

Use your tester to clear the codes, then do a KAM reset = disconnect the battery, hold the brake pedal down for 5 minutes, reconnect the battery, go for a drive & see what happens.

 

hi,i have cleared the code loads of time but it just comes back straight away. the battery has been off the car for weeks as i fitted a new turbo, but i dont think the battery the fault as i put a different battery on just to make sure. any more idears please
