Default Mazda 3 SGrand Touring Manual Transmission ACC mode Off

What a ridiculous design. Just purchased this car and I realized that when you arrive at your destination and hit the Start/Stop button it shuts the entire car off rather than going to ACC mode. Told there is "nothing I can do about that." Hey Mazda, why not have the car cycle to ACC mode, and then turn the car off when you open the door like other well designed cars?

Why do you want or need it to go to ACC mode? Is you car auto or manual?

Default Mazda 3 Sgrand tourning manual transmission ACC mode off

I have a manual transmission. "Need" probably isn't the right word. It just seems logical to hit the Start/Stop button and have the car go to ACC mode so that you can continue to finish listening to whatever was on the stereo, rather than letting the car idle and waste fuel and lead to excess pollution. Open the door and the car switches to off. I'm just bothered by what seems to be a thoughtless design. Thanks for your interest.
