Default Help to identify my VIN on 1977 Mazda 808

Hi All,

I have recently imported a Mazda 808 (818 in Europe and Grand Familia in the US) from Malaysia to the UK and at this time (2023) it is the only model in the UK.

This has led to a problem with my Transport Department (DVLA) who cannot recognise the car and are asking me to get a "Dating Letter" from the Manufacturer, the problem is Mazda Japan have said they do not hold all records of vehicles pre-1980 (mine is 1977).
For some bizarre reason, the seller had to surrender all their original registration documents back to their Malaysian Office when a vehicle is being exported. So they have sent me copies of everything and my Country will only accept original documents to proceed with the Registering of the vehicle.

If I can get a confirmation letter from a recognised car club that the VIN is correct for the vehicle, I've been told this will be acceptable

I have the Chassis Number (VIN) but cannot get any data for it from any VIN Decoding sites so was hoping someone here may have the required information (or know how to get it). I'm all Googled out and CHATGPT has helped a bit but cannot get the info needed.

The VIN is STCM010374 (I know this is a correct type of VIN as the Rotary equivalent starts with SA and the Piston variants started with STC), it's stamped on the Engine bay firewall and also on the Identification Plate on the car.

I would be so very grateful if someone here can help me

Thanks in advance

Here are the customary pics for attention:
