I have found model code for my mazda axela but not the vin number and i wonder why it doesn't have one.Any help is welcome.

They don't have a conventional vin number, What is your model code?

model number might be for the 1st generation - 5WBK-123456 or BKEP-123456 etc etc 2nd gen will be BL, 3rd BM or BN

 

The Mazda3 has vin number like JM1BM1S30E1123456 (17 digits) and you know from the first letter 'J' it's made in japan. Also there are many sites that can decode it BUT my Mazda Axela has only model code DBA-BM5FS 25D(paint) SJ2.
Can you give me more details for my car? it's obvious that you know.

Sold in Japan Mazda's don't use a 17 digit ID

Overseas models, ie not sold in Japan, will have a 17 digit vin, eg JM0, JMZ etc

Japanese domestic model will have an ID like . eg BM5FP-200446

There should be a sticker either on the RH or LH B pillar that has this info.

 

It may also be under the carpet on the drivers side just in front of the seat. If its there, there will be a small plastic flap to access it.

 

 

BM5FS-409652 is your Mazda Japan issued Chassis number/ ID number. If it was a NZ new it would look like this : JM0BM******123456

 

Quick search shows its a 2015 or 2016 Hatchback, 1.5ltr Automatic?? Yes? No?

 

can you give more info or you need something else? Also what is 'NZ'?

 

It's 1.5ltr automatic but dealer told me it's end of 2017.
