Benefits? If that is what you'd like to call them... there's nothing better than crappy health care and the dental program. I've been having back problems since a car accident and all they do is slap a perscritpion in my hand for 800 mg of Motron and send me on my merry way... or maybe that's just Air Force for yah. Besides the oh so wonderful benefits, yes the military is good in some ways and bad in others. But thank you for the support.

My brother is stationed at Laughlin AFB in Del Rio Tx. He has never had to deal with real life as he has been in for 8 years and went in at 18 yo Pretty much everything is paid for including housing. I think he likes the fact that everyone gives him credit and loans. He likes to keep his Star card maxxxxed. He gets out in November, so I hope he is ready.

Thank you for your service!! We have the best military!!

Yes we do get paid for housing, but I live off base and with a truck payment, credit cards, rent and utilities on an E-4's pay grade it's not that easy to spend money on stuff for yourself. Sometimes I don't have money for food because of bills, but I guess that's partly my fault, poor budgeting I guess... that or to much spending on alcohol. Heh. But yeah I hope your bro pays off the star card before he gets out, cause if not they will find him and get it him to pay off the money.

The military life is great, I get to work on cars during my spare time, and do body work on jets when I'm working.
