First time owner of a Mazda 2 TS 2011 model
Good evening all.
I am brand new to this forum so please be gentle.
I have just purchased a Mazda 2 TS. I took a risk and bought it off Copart yesterday. There is a slight dent in the bootlid and there's no battery. I'm assuming the central locking and boot mechanism will only open once the car has a working battery in?
Its only done 57k on the clock and passed most if its MOT's over the years. The only concern I have is the advisory which mentions surface corrosion on the suspension? Do I need to be worried about this? The current MOT expires in November 2022 and the car has no road tax.
Is there anything else I need to check with no history or service information available given I have bought the car in as is condition? I have rang a few parts places and they advised this car has longlife spark plugs that only need changing every 40-50k?
The tyres look decent and under the bonnet looks clean. I've not much experience with cars the category advertised when I bid was N (non-structural) and minor dents and scratches.
I can't think of anything else to ask with regards to a Mazda 2. Its Japanese so from what I know it will be reliable.
Any help or advice appreciated with me being a Mazda newbie.
Thanks
