Hello,i have just taken my cx30 for it's second service, and the last few days i have had a noise from my front wheel. Was i shocked my 26,000 miles car needed new front brake pads they were 95 per cent worn and 4 new tyres one was not legal costing almost 1,000.Pick it up tomorrow from the mazda dealer, question does that seem possible to you?i did question brake pads and was told that was good getting to 26,000 miles, can't remember that problem in my previous asx and that was ten years old, plus 4 new tyres again seems a lot, just worry if i hadn't a service i wouldnt know until my mot in 18 months,my car is now 18 months.advice please.

Welcome to the forum

I am going to respond and cut and paste my response because you started 2 threads same subject!

Your brake and tire wear are 95% of the time related to how one drives. More evidence is when those 2 components wear out close or at the same time. Sorry but those are the facts. You also cannot compare other models or most defiantly other auto manufactures regarding things like brake and tire wear. The answer will be the same if you were driving these others as well. What you may have gotten for brake and tire life unless you compare all aspects you cant plain and simple.

As with all auto manufactures sometimes a dealership may give a courtesy brake and even a tire or 2 replacement but technically speaking if you read the warranty on what is and is not covered you may get a surprise.
