Default Another Newbie

Hi All,

We just ordered our first Mazda, will be here in a week or so. 2008 Mazda 5 GT. Wanted a manual tranny, and they are harder to come by, so had to order and wait.

My wife and I just had a little baby girl and our current 2007 VW GTI, while I LOVE the car, it just is not practical, so up for sale it goes as we join the mini-van club.

I do have a few questions already, but will post them in the appropriate areas.

Cheers

I couldn't agree more. I have checked out some other Mazda forums since getting mine and quite frankly they're less than impressive. Most are filled with what seem to be rich kid speed3 elitests who's cars are rather "riced" out imo. i'm all about the speed3's but just because you don't have one doesnt mean you're no representing the brand well. This is most definitely one of the more enjoyable car forums I've belonged too. All the information and none of the aggravation. Accolades to all of our mods!

I thank you from all of us for your accolades OG, but don't forget our Admin, Patrick, either. He really sets the tone, we only try to enforce it... and that ain't too hard 'round here. We have a good group of people... laid back (like the rules and regs) and knowledgeable.
I asked to be a here Mod because of the overall attitude 'n' atmosphere that already existedwhen I got here. This is actually one of the last Mazda sites I found and signed up for. They say you should save the best for last and that's how I feel about the members here.
But I try not to kid myself either. Things could get out of hand in a hurry if the wrong people start coming in to mess things up for us. As it is, modding here is mostly watching out for SPAMMED threads, and a few malcontents. Helping people get used to how the site works and moving threads that were posted in the wrong section... like that.
