Hello Neillo,

Have you managed to resolve your issue after all? I'm experiencing the exact problem as yours, only on mazda 6 2003 1.8 petrol. Same story, after starting, the airbag light flashes in the following sequebce..4 times..then 8..repeats this 5 times and then stays on permanently. I'm wondering if you, or someone else, can help me to resolve this issue please.

Thanks & Regards,
Anatoli

The problem is that the seat mat is broken. The codes 44 , 45 , 47 , 49 are the same problem..

You can buy a control box that solves the problem. The control box sends a signal to the main control box of the airbag system that it functions, and thereby there is no longer a lighting airbag lamp. The control box simulates a permanently occupied passenger seat, and in the case of an accident, side and front airbags ALWAYS releases, as if there was a passenger in the seat - even when it is vacant!
You could ask your dealer if he knows about this controlbox and he can buy it on LINK REMOVED BY MF STAFF, DO NOT ADVERTISE UNLESS YOUR A SPONSOR

Good luck
