4X4 gear shifter in B2500 missing?

4X4 gear shifter in B2500 missing?
Hi,
I am looking to puchase a 2006 B2500, but I dont see the shifter in the cab.. :confused:
I look uder the truck and see the transfer case and the drive shaft for the front diff, but in the cab, the area where the shifter should be is coverd with something that looks like a blanking plate...
Is the shifer something easy to put find? is it easy to install?
