Was wonder which company makes the auto transmission for the 2019 Mazda3? Aisin or Jatco.

 

My understanding is the transmissions are made by Mazda; the SkyActiv transmissions are totally unique to Mazda.

 

Thanks for the info. I was not aware that Mazda made the transmission in-house. I am thinking about getting a Mazda3 next year. Like the look of the sedan. Curious about the reliability of this new model year. Hopefully by 2020-2021 things will be worked out. Not interested in buying a car in its first year of production.

 

The good news is the latest Mazda3 is more of an evolution than revolution compared to the immediately preceding model.
