yo! i was trying to change the oil filter on my 2006 mazda 6... i can't seem to find where the oil filter is... where's the oil filter?

Yeah. It would help to know that.
If it'sa 6i and has the 2.3L 4, you may be lookinjg for a spin-on filter when in fact it has a cartridge style filter... located nearthe front center of the engine underneath (or on top of, depending on your perspective) the splash shield.

If you look up between the header connecting pipe & the crossmember, you will see the filter. You may have to pry on the exhaust to get the filter out.
