What is this part on my 2004 Mazda 6 and why is there an empty socket in it?
This is near the throttle body and there is an electrical socket on it that doesn't have any connector on it, I'm confused as if that is normal or if I'm missing a connector to it?
Are there metal terminals inside the connector/socket?
Yes it does, I found out it is the EGR Valve. Thing is I've been driving around for two days without it connected and the car was running just fine, now that I've re-connected it seems as if my car's idle is rougher somehow. Is it possible that performance might improve with the EGR valve disconnected?
