Water in the Blower fan!!! 2005 6 Wagon
Help!!!
It rained for two days. I kept hearing water rushing around every time I turned the car.
I pulled the blower moter and found the plasitic housing next to the motor filled with water.
I assume there is a drain that is plugged. Anyone have this problem??
How do I fix it??
Any help appreciated.
Thanks!

Nope, never that one. But I did have a 2-dr Golf once that took on water in the rear carpet area. Turned out to be a clogged rocker panel drain hole.
Yes, in your case I would say the drain is most certainly clogged, or pinched. W/the motor already out, you might be able to find it by feeling around the A/C evaporator area? Or, find the hose under the car where the A/C is supposed to drain from and apply a little backward air pressure. That might clear it, but if there is junk in there that's too big to drain out the problem could return and you'll end up taking the whole thing apart anyway.
In the 3 series, the drain hose comes out through the firewall and down from there.
Does your car have a factory sunroof?
My wagon has an aftermarket sun roof.
Here is what I am going to try.
Pull fan motor.
Shop vac in to the evaporator box.
Crawl underneath car with air hose.
Turn vac on
Blow air into drain from underneath.
What do you think???
