Purchased a 2012 Mazda 6 Touring in April. Traded in my 2007 Mazda 6 which had virtually no problems during ownership. I have noticed several problems and differences in the 2012 compared to th3 2007.

1. It seems the audio system in the 2012 is significantly less powerful than the 2007. In comparison the radio needs to be almost twice as high to hear when driving.

2. I have an air leak behind my head in either the drivers window or rear passenger door. The dealer told me its road noise and then asked me to say the problem was corrected on the follow-up survey.

3. The leather on my steering wheel is peeling.

4. It feels as if the selt belt harness has been moved further back as compared to the 2007.

 

I have the same issue on my 2006, i've changed the weather stripping a couple of times where the door closes, but it cracks, splits open. I finally just said F it, as i play stereo loud anyway!
