Exclamation Transmission Problems?

I have a 2006 Mazda 6 4 cylinder and just recently I've been noticing a clicking coming from the front of the engine when I turn left and right while I'm over half way on the gas. My first guess was that it's possible a CV joint, but it seems to fast to be a CV joint. Could this possibly be a transmission problem? I don't know that much about transmissions to be able to diagnose this one. Any Ideas?

More than likely your 1st guess is correct. It is prob the CV Axle.

Look at the front Axels, sometimes youll see alot of grease on the inner wheel or a torn CV boot. That will give you an idea on which one is bad.

Question

Thanks for the responses!
I'm not too sure it's the CV axle. But just to make sure I checked both boots and they both were clean and no tears that I could see. I had an Acura Inetegra that a CV axle went out on and it really didn't sound anything like this. The frequency of the 'click' is about three times faster and not as loud than the sound on the Integra plus there's not any vibration in the steering. Any help would be appreciated! Thanks!!

Both axles on my 6 are currently bad & they click very fast. You checked both the inner & outer boots?

Hey guys, i recently took my 08.5 Mazda3i to the dealer because ive been experiencing problems with my tranny, its a 5speed manual and it only has about 22,000 miles... from the beginning i had problems with the tranny, i got this car new with only 21 miles, at 7,500 miles the tranny was replaced due to some bearing coming apart and tearing 1,2, and 3 gears apart, after the new tranny was installed ive been noticing that 1 and 2 gears were very tight and difficult to engage. i told this to my dealer on a number of occasions and yet they say that every thing is fine, until now when i moved out of state and my new dealer tells me that im in a need of a new clutch: pressure plate, clutch disk, release bearing and pilot bearing. they say its under wear and tear and the warranty does not cover this. now i know what you guys might think, he doesnt know how to drive stick shift, well ive been driving stick for 8 years now so i know its not me. any ideas, please help, thanks

Default tie rods?

Try looking at your tie rods.. I am thinking that you should check anything that is involved with steering. aka- steering column, power steering fluid and bearings..
