Exclamation Transmission Fluid

What kind of transmission fluid do you guys recommend using? This is going to be the first transmission fluid flush that I am going to be doing on my car, and I was wondering what you guys recommend is the best in this particular type of car..

It's a 2003 Mazda 6 i..

p.s. I'm sorry if this has been asked.. All I could find is When to do it, not what type to use..

Thanks!!

You're going to need to replace the trans filter and gasket so when you go to the parts store ask them, or you could always call the Mazda service department and they will tell you.

well yeah, I knew I could ask them, but my fiance told me to ask some people on here, see what they suggested, he's never owned a 6, and said that there are some kinda people stay away from, and people really stand by... So I was curious as to what some of you put in yours/what you recommended for the 6's..

For the 4cyl Autos, you need an oil that is specified being ATF M-V.

Sheldon.

If your car or transmission is covered by a warranty, extended warranty, or hidden warranty of any sort, it's wise to stick close to the beaten path, so that if at some future date you have a problem, nobody can say to you ,

"Oh yeah, but you ---------- blah blah blah, plus more blah blah blah, etc. etc. ,so the warranty is void".

Consult the maintenance and specification sections of the owners manual for your car.
There you will find the exact spec. for the appropriate fluid to use.
The trade mark on the container you buy isn't what counts; it's the SAE ATF spec. on the container that counts.

This same rule applies to all lubricants, fluids, greases, A/C refrigerants etc. you dump into your vehicle.

I gave her the Mazda specified oil. It is in the back of the owners manual.
