Default tire size

hey all ,,have a 2006 6S and want to go with the 16 inch rims off a I model fr the winter ,,will they fit

FWIW...I run snow tires on the stock 17" tires and they worked great. 205/50R17

I'd buy aftermarket summer wheels and use the stockers with snow tires for winter.

I think it fit. mazda 6i has 16" tire and cost much cheaper than 17". For handling, 17" is much better than 16".

Actually K, that's something of a misnomer. The improvement in handling comes from the decrease in the size of the sidewall, which reduces tread flex and thus improves responsivness. A 16" wheel and 17" wheel equipped with tires that have equivelant sidewalls will have similar responsivness in handling and the 16's will actually gain you some torque, though you will lose out in top end speed.

But responding to the OP, yes they will fit just fine, unless you've added a BBK or something like that.
