Default Starter bumping a manual?

I have a 2016 Mazda6 with a six speed manual. Is there any way to do a workaround for maki g the starter engage with the clutch engaged? I’m asking because it used to be common practice to use the starter to “bump” a dead or disabled car a few feet. My old Toyota truck had a switch on the dash called “clutch start cancel”. Would it be as simple as wiring a switched bypass around the clutch switch?

Check for a switch under the dash on the clutch pedal bar. If it has a switch (there’s a similar one on the brake pedal to turn on the brake light), then you should be able to easily wire your way around the lockout mechanism.
