My first instincts were good.
95,000 miles is alot for these ign coils. Thought they might last a little longer, hope you change them all. Ones from the dealer are most expensive.

MSD is putting out a brand new coil that looks exactly like the stock Mazda 6 coil for the 3.0 ltr. It is part # 8248 single, 82488 for 8 pack. This one is 90 degree and has a holddown! It is for the Ford 5.0 ltr new Coyote Engine. It should be available soon. I have received a marketing letter from MSD in a Adobe PDF document with other items as well. I have not seen this one yet but it might be worth the wait.

I looking at replacing the coil packs on my 115k Tribute. Didn't want to start Tuesday. Mazda/Ford ignition weak link is coil packs.

My car was running great for a few weeks after taking her to Mazda, but the symptoms started up again. I took her right back to Mazda and they said now it was the coil in the 5th cylinder. Not feeling confident with Mazda after spending $700 on 3 coils and plugs (which I already changed the plugs 2 weeks prior) under the inner manifold replaced. I have finally taken her back to the family mechanic. He's taking his time trying to find out the underlining problem. I'm grateful for that. He's a nice guy but I feel like I'm always buggin' mechanics when I put my 2 cents in I'll mention to him tomorrow about the carbon issues mentioned above. Because, the spuddering gets worse as the car warms up...

These are available now and look like a direct fit with more voltage and great MSD quality.
$49 for great spark! Should fit Mazda 6 3.0 ltr.
