Default Side mirror not folding (motor spinning)

Hello,

I have some problem i need help with.
At the moment it is -6 here outside.
yesterday after i parked, i wanted to fold my mirrors. The left one was stuck halfway so i manually folded with my hand.

Now its not working at all. The motor is spinning so the noise when you fold it is always there. The sound is only stopped when the car is off.

What can I do.
I dont really care if its not folding, i Want to be tid of the noise.......

Hi I have a similar issue. I have a Mazda 6 2017. The passenger side mirror motor will not fold and the motor is constantly spinning. A few weeks later the same thing happened to the driver side mirror motor. Now both sides will not fold and motor constantly spinning and remains running for @15 seconds after the car ignition is witched off. Because both motors started acting up within a few week of each other I am thinking that this is a common issue??

I am wondering if there is an easy DIY fix or will there be a costly bill from a garage to get repaired.

Any advise would be greatly appreciated

Contact Mazda, as its a very common problem you have a good chance of good will.

Unfortunately despite my multiple attempts of trying to contact Mazda Ireland they failed to respond. My mirrors are still not fixed so I have no idea what the cost would be.

The actuators are $40-70 each, takes a good technician about 3/4hr to remove the mirror, strip it down R&R the actuator and re-assemble.
