I just had to change my battery in my 2014 Mazda 6, since the replacement my security indicator on the instrument cluster is flashing. It flashes at different frequencies, but it's always flashing when the car is turned off. This never happened before I replaced the battery. Any advice is greatly appreciated.

That light will flash 24/7 when the key is off. 100% normal, always have always will. Does the car start & run?

 

The car starts and runs no problems, I just don’t think that was flashing before I changed out the battery for the first time. It’s a 2014 Mazda 6 and I’m finding all sorts of different answers when I pose this question. Not really sure what to think at this point.

 

The security indicator should ALWAYS flash when the car is off; check your Owner's Manual, it will confirm what we're trying to tell you.
