To SEAFOAM or not to SEAFOAM???
what do you guys think? is seafoaming a good idea? i'm hearing ALL kinds of **** about it: it works, it doesn't work, its good for your engine, its bad for your engine, put it in your oil, don't put it in your oil....blah blah blah...i wanna know if any of you guys have done it and if there was a marked improvement in your cars' performance. also, include your cars' specs's: model, milage, that kind of stuff. i have a '05 6i sport. with everything (xcept leather and climate control), it has 61K. i love it & it hasn't really given me any problems so i may not even need to SEAFOAM it but i just wanna ask around....thanks.........

I look at seafoam as something you use on a car that has started to have problems and you just want to eek a few more months out of it before sending it to the crusher.
Just my opinion. If your car is running fine, use good fluids, change them religiously and you'll be just fine.

Scott & Cameron are right, Zen: If you've kept up your oilchanges and other routine fluid maintenance, then you shouldn't need this treatment at all. Lets say you HAVE NOT done this routine maintenance. Then you've already answered your own question. Did you notice all of the "did not work / did nothing / no improvement / it's bad for you engine" that you heard for every 'positive' report that you heard? By your own research, this stuff only "works" 50% of the time. Beware.
