yea those would look good with the car lowered just a tad and leveled out, sharp. but I just looked at discount tire direct.com and those and the drag dr-36's look good too. where are you seeing the offset on that website?

After the size listing. e.g. 17x7.5 et45 = +45mm offset.

+1 always happy to answer any questions I can.

I'd love a set of these.....if only they didn't want $800 per wheel

It's an old, old business practice called (I'm sure you've heard of it) Supply and Demand.
Or another, Charge only what the market will allow. If you are building for a more exclusive market, you can charge more for the product.
Given the design and especially quality of their product, I'm sure they are making a healthy profit. But by selling smaller quantities to a more limited customer base (re: exclusive again), they have to charge more. I think every wheel manufacturer has copied a BBS design(s) at some time or another, but most often w/o the same attention to quality.

Oh I understand alright. It's just less fun than shaking your fist dramatically and cursing them like some b-movie comic book villain. Heck the wheels I have for street use now could be considered copies of a BBS design. And while I will agree with BBS's attention to detail part of what you are paying for is the name, there is no mistaking that. Just like part of what you are paying for with BMW or Lexus is the brand name, there is a price tag for exclusivity.
