remote starter installation
Well today I received a remote car starter system for Christmas and I am going to install it myself on my 2006 mazda6. After looking over everything it doesnt seem to bad, however there is one grey area for me. This particular system calls out to install a bypass module for the Anti-theft system installed on the Mazda. However I cannot seem to verify this, I have the keyless entry and the manual says it comes standard with the engine immobilizer, but I do not want to waste the time and money to install it if I dont need it, especially since it calls out to leave a programmed transponder key inside the module. If anyone can shed a little light on the subject I would appreciate it. It is A Bulldog Security RS1100. www.bulldogsecurity.com if anyone is interested. Thanks for the help, I am going to need it.

RE: remote starter installation
Your key has a transponderand the car won't start without it. That's why the remote starter needs a key left in the module. My suggestion is exchangeit for something you really want. Who needs a remote starter anyways.
