I have an annoying plastic against plastic rubbing sound /rattle/ squeak that seems to eminate from the polystyrene center panel or the dash storage box/lid above it (2005 Mazda 6i, auto, 29k miles) when I roll over a rough road surface. The sound is most noticeable at night, so it seems temperature related. I'm currently experimenting with adhesive-backed rubber bumpers to cushion the various parts from each other. Does anyone else have this problem? Any remedies? I don't want to turn up the stereo all the time to mask the rattle!
