Hi All, I am going to try an install an Infiniti Basslink powered sub. Never done an install before and stuff I have seen on the web is conflicting. Any help is appreciated.
Question: Do I need a L.O.C any type of converter?
Where is the best place to "tap into" the speaker wires,etc?

Any help is appreciated.

First I recommend that you contact Infiniti about your intended installation on your MAZDA year with the BOSE system!!


I personally would recommend to get a sub-woofer and separate amplifier and use a AudioControl LC2i 2-channel line-out Converter or similar line out converter. This way you will not conflict with the BOSE sensitive signal outputs.
My 2018 Mazda 3 with the factory BOSE was a challenge to say the least.

I tapped into the sub woofer speaker wires in the harness under the passenger seat for both left and right channel speakers leads.

 

The powered subwoofer also has a BLUE remote turn-on wire. Which wire on the Bose Amp do I connect this to, or do I connect to a wire in the TAU?

The MAZDA BOSE system for your specific MAZDA you ay find many component stereo supply manufacture hesitant to give installation instruction. That said again I recommend to contact Infiniti about your intended installation on your MAZDA year with the BOSE system!!


The problem I had was that MAZDA's info center is connected to the stereo operation and the BOSE system, what my solution for keeping the integrity and not damaging the BOSE system and still have some sound control in the info center was to use line out converter.
