The bottom cushion on my driver's seat has ripped. I found a used one to replace it. But I was wondering if it's possible to separate the two sections of the seat and only replace the bottom cushion, and keep my original back support and head rest?

 

Yes, remove your seat from the car, remove the plastic side panels off the base, there should be 2 14mm bolts on each side to separate the base from the seat back.
