I have a 2007 Mazda 6i (automatic) and this issue recently came up. When I shift gears, the display acts accordingly except when I move it to park. The P is no longer lit up and the car won't start at all. Not even an attempt. I temporarily fixed it by constantly switching between gears until the car turned on. However I'm afraid it might leave me stranded one day and I'm not really knowledgeable about cars so I'm not sure on how to fix this issue. Any suggestions?
