P0471 is super common, the Exhaust Pressure sensors fail alot. Mazda in my country added a warranty extension for this reason.

P2262 is also a well known fault. 1st step is to remove the intake & outlet pipes/hoses to the turbo & make sure both the small & big turbo turbines spin freely & the wastegates are intact. There was a bad batch of wastegates that would break the rivet holding the valve to the arm.

Thank you!

for the sensor fault it is clear to change it.
the fault p2262 you mean to check the actuator on the botton of the turbo?
i dodnt understand you sorry

Not the actuators, but both the turbine blades and physical wastegates.

Same issue for me

Hi, I had exactly the same codes on my 2017 2.2D skyactiv CX-5. Accompanied by check engine light and a loss of power.

Armed with the knowledge that it was most likely the exhaust gas pressure sensor I took it to the Mazda dealer. Upon picking up my car the servcie guy said that Mazda Australia had extended the warrany on the exhaust pressure sensor to 10 years/200000kms so the repairs on my car were under warranty without cost.

The repair work was to replace the exhaust pressure sensor that sits on the top of the engine under the noise shield. It was not a like-for-like replacement but with another unit that does not exhibit the same failure mechanism... i hope.

Just wanted to give back to with this information so others can find it as I did when I had this issue.

Hi!
David, you wrote your dealer replaced sensor for free.
Im from Belarus. I have Mazda 6 2.2 D. This car came to Belarus from Germany. I am the second owner here. And now I have the same problem, but belarussian dealer told me, that this sensor in my Mazda was replaced in Germany alredy. Car has 145000 kms.....

If the sensor is black & or plastic, its the older type. If its silver/chrome in colour and solid steel then its the latest supersession.

I think I solved the problem. I removed sensor, washed it by carburetor cleaner, dried up and installed back. Error disapeared by itself.
Than I traveled in different modes around 5-6km: from calm to aggressive. Everything is fine at present time.
