Default OBD2 Bluetooth Reader

Hi, I’m after some advice.
I plugged in a Bluetooth OBD 2 reader to my 2014 Mazda 6 2.2d. When switching on the ignition, a load of messages appeared on the car’s dashboard. The messages were, “keyless entry needs servicing”, I-Stop needs servicing “ and “engine needs inspecting” among others. Also the Engine Light came on.
Is this normal when the fault reader is plugged in, or is there a problem with it.
looking forward to any answers.

I have a bluetooth OBDII and a cabled code reader, neither cause any dash lights or messages. Don't think that's normal.

Thanks. I didn’t think that should have happened. The engine light stayed on with the message engine needs inspecting for the next 3 engine starts and then went away.
I havnt plugged the reader in since

The car didn’t have a fault beforehand. I was just interested in trying out the fault code reader. All the warning messages appeared on the cars dashboard only when the OBD reader was plugged in and ignition switched on. As soon as I removed the OBD reader, the dashboard messages cleared and the Engine Msnagment light cleared after a few starts. There isn’t a fault with the car. I think it was the fault reader that caused the messages.
